New Class A chimney is going in tomorrow.

I've finished the hearth and will be working on wall protection tomorrow.

Question for the board.

I plan to vent the stove to the rear through the wall protection.

Here is what the manual has to say regarding clearances:

Connector Unprotected Surface Protected Surface

Single wall connector 18” 460mm 7” 180mm
Double wall Pipe 6” 150mm 6” 150mm

Assuming the class a goes through the wall and reaches the interior side of my wall protection does that mean I need only 7" to combustibles?

If the class a only reaches the interior wall then do I need to build a 42"X42" box that's noncombustible?

I"ll have pictures up later this weekend.
