This might be a dumb question, but does anyone make a stove with burn tubes ahead of the cat? I have a 9-year-old tube-burner stove, so I'm fairly ignorant of catalytics.
 
Nah, kind of like using a raincoat under an umbrella. Protection is already done with the catalyst.
