I got the new motor for the thelin ,the other day and it was not the same brand or size of the one that i took off, but the company from 2002 has went too another company for there fan motors. I heard this is the 3rd company since 2002.
I had a couple problems , the replacement motor would not bolt to the old bracket, so i needed to drill 4 new holes. i also had a very hard time getting the Metal fan off.. it took alot of heat too break the seal.
Also because of the design of the stove, it needed too be unhooked and tip over on it's side, as the motor comes out through the bottom.

I got it back together and just run the fan for a short time, sounds alot different then the old one.. smooth running and not as noisy.I will start up the stove later today, for a real test

The thelin fan motor is a shaft through motor with a plastic fan blade on the bottom shaft of the motor too pull the air in and a metal fan at the top shaft to push the air through the heat exchanger and out through the stove vents. The two motors are 12volts.

Thelin was great to deal with. Jay is very helpful, and was pleased too send me a motor for this stove to Canada.
