I'm buying a 17-VL. I have a ceiling box and 8" flue installed (~22' total rise). I assume single-wall stove pipe is fine if you have the correct clearances, some kind of sliding thing to get it on and take it off for cleaning. Total stove noob here.

8" to 6" adapeter.......0.5'
Sliding 6" pipe...........4.5' (54")
Stove.......................2.5'

Ceiling height............7.5'

How about this 36"-66" pipe for $51

And this adapter for $21

http://www.ventingpipe.com/heat-fab-2628b-6-inch-crimp-8-inch-non-crimp-adapter/p651532

There are three kinds of adapters but I think that's the one I need.

Maye if I put a little hi-temp lube on the sliding part of the pipe I can get it apart for flue cleaning. It would be a mother trying to clean the flue by going up into the stove itself.

Thanks for any suggestions.
