When i got the stove the circular covers on the side steel plates were tight. I losened them for cleaning. Should i tighten them back up. The stove is a ef3
 
You want all air path covers back the way they were when new otherwise you can lose the proper flow of air in the stove.

At the least this can cause a loss of efficiency at the worst a very poor burn which can become a very major problem.
