Hello all,

I am considering a new woodstove for my garage that is more efficient then my current one that does not burn all that well. My question is my existing insulated chimney is 7" dia. and the stove I am looking at is 6" is this going to be a problem?

Regards,
Nate.

7" is 36% bigger cross-sectional area than 6", but I'd guess you'd be fine. How often do you burn in your garage?

I burn mainly on weekends unless I have work in there during the week. Also where would I put the reducer on the insulated pipe or on the black pipe going into stove?

Thanks
Nate
