OK. Danica Patrick has won the pole position in the Daytona 500. Your job is to pick on which of the 200 laps she will wreck the race car this time?

Being the fastest while you're by youself at Daytona means nothing.
Any chance she doesn't wreck in the duel race?

    Thank god it's 500 miles. 200laps on a 2.5 mile track.

I'll give her to lap 85.

they, the boys, will wreck her in the first fifty. Probably in the first ten as they all try to pass her.

If I'd've had $18 Million when I was ~30, I'd say that in all probability I would have wrecked a few very expensive cars too. ;lol

Ribbing is just part of the fun, especially in a sport like nascar when they are always looking/waiting for "the big one."

I lost interest between when #3 died and they started the "lucky dog" BS. Just doesn't have the fun it used to for me anymore. I hope she wins.

Patrick needs to quit trying to put people that piss her off into the wall and wrecking her race car in the process.

I'd further add she finished 10th of 12 full time cars in the Nationwide points last year - and she gets a full time ride in the cup car?

I don't question her abilities as far as going "fast" - when you have an effective traffic jam at 200mph you have to be a really good driver not just a fast.

She's a big PR move for the France family - Junior nation is waning and after alienating most of the traditional fan base, they need some new market share
  23. Flatbedford Minister of Fire

It must be a tough year for the traditional nascar fan base. First the black pres gets re-elected and then a woman sits on the pole at Daytona!

OK, since nobodys' said it, dang she looks good on a pole. Even the best look silly at Daytona nowaday, if you look at the last several superspeedway races. Its a crapshoot - anyone can win at Daytona if the car is runnin. not #7 though

This year, it seems that the last lap dash isnt there.

I think her & Jeff team up & run in the lead for 35 laps.
Then she goes to the back of the pack for 100 or so laps.
Then makes a run for the lead.
To guess who will wreck her & when.
Getting caught up in the big one of 20 cars isn't 19 of the drivers faults, just 1.
She usually don't wreck, she usually gets wrecked ;)
