I'm trying to choose between two stoves for a small shed [12x17, 8' ceiling, only 204 square feet]. My first choice was a Vermont Casting Aspen C3 a beautiful stove with no manual controls, takes 16"logs in 1.25 cf firebox, 1800 or 35000 btu's [depending on source], 400-1200 sq ft. The other choice is a True North TN10, a smaller plain looking unit with one control [air intake], 12" logs in .8 cf firebox, 13-17.6 btu's, 600sq ft coverage. Its about $200 cheaper. The seller seems pretty reasonable and thinks the TN10 may be a better choice as the Aspen may overheat the room. Is their a quality diff between these units? The TN10 is a subdivision of Pacific Energy and made in Canada. The bigger firebox using longer wood seems convenient. This will be a secondary heat source to mini split electric. Thanks in advance, been lurking hear and have learned a lot. Any pros/cons is appreciated.
