Got the stove in yesterday. Obviously going to take a little to get use to. Couple of questions when burning. Where does the air come into the firebox from. The back or front? What is the purpose of the doghouse in the front? Just curious on the these few things. Had a real good fire going last night and got about 8 hrs burn on 5 splits of oak and ash. Had an old thermolater stove that you could sit and feed it wood and it would burn right up.

Air enters the STOVE from the rear of the unit. Air enters the firebox through the airwsh, dog box and secondary combustions tubes inside the firebox. The purpose of the dog box is to reignited secondary flames if they should go out. The theory goes that a high velocity jet of combustion air blown at the wood load with create the pilot flame necessary to bring secondary combustion flames back to the tubes.
