Englander Igniter

Hi All,
I am right in the middle of changing my igniter on the 2200 sq ft version pellet stove. I have gotten the screw out(it has the cast iron tube), but cannot pull the element out. Anyone have a tip that the techs did not send with the ignitor? Any help would be great!

take a small wooden dowel smaller than the hole in the front , and tap it out from the frontput the rod in the hole against the igniter rod and just tap it out.
