I've wanted one for a while and took a gamble on ebay. Just finished checking it over and it looks real good. Have a velocity stack from Madsens and a chrome k&n filter on the way to complete it.

    NICE!!

That's a Beast of a Saw. Hope you got a great deal on it.

Just got my 3rd 036 this Monday. Gonna go through all 3 and take one to FreakinStang here (lookin forward to this one) and maybe send another to Mastermind.

The worst of the 3 will stay stock.

There are several of us that need to get together this Spring and have a little informal GTG at Stangs, Boogs, my place, or your place Hitiin. Lots of Nice saws that need to be "Rubbed" on in person ;em

Congrats on the new saw, it would be a blast to try one out. My job would need to take a 180 to even consiter any new saw purchases.

Backyard Games? Well either it's warmer there than here or I'm missing something. ;)

Can't read/see more of the box, someone left a damn saw in the way. ;lol

It is supposed to be 60 here on saturday _g....... my basement shop seems to have become an overflow for Christmas gifts too.

I need to order some starter rope....... not sure how long this rope will last, compression is just shy of 180 and no decomp ;lol

That might take some getting used to. I would be scared I would break a finger on that beast.

Tough stuff..... And it's pretty. ();em

Comes in multiple sizes, dunno what Husky uses for stock rope. Could always put a Stihl ElastoStart on it to smooth out that pull. ::P Then again, 100+cc's might be a little hard on it. ::-)

It was advertised as having 160 compression........ now I know why, the seller had no interest in pulling 2 more times until the reading stopped rising ;lol

One of those "T" handles on the pull rope might be a good idea for that thing. You could stand on it and do some upward rows ==c

Gotta love a saw that takes two people to start it. One to hold in on the ground and the other to pull the rope.==c

Sounds just like my old (bought new) Poulan 475/rebadged Jonsered 2077.One helluva a saw, still had 180+ compression when it was sold Nov 2011.No decomp, when that rope snapped back it did sprain my finger at least once the last few times it was sold it.It was on its 3rd rubber factory pull grip when it was shipped. The original one lasted the longest,it eventually just fell apart.

As I got older (owned the saw 17 1/2 yrs) I literally had to kneel down on the cylinder cover left knee to hold it down on the ground while keeping right boot in that loop when pulling the rope.!!!

I never was very good at the game of Twister lemme tell ya ;lol

It was rumbling last weekend. I didn't put it in any wood, but got it tuned right.

Only thing left to do is take a whizz wheel to the bar and get rid of that crappy looking paint.
