Lit my first fire in the Ashford 30! This has been a very long time coming. Wanted a wood stove when we bought this house a decade ago. But it just wasn’t something SWMBO had buy in for until maybe a year or so back. We started the process way back in December last year. We started building the hearth probably in February. Finally got it done today. And my first fire is now burning happily away. Currently got the thermostat turned down low, no active flames, but cat appears to be happily eating the smoke. Soooo happy it’s done and working.
