The rubber seal on the Simpson is about 3/16 across the section of the O ring.
Its lubed with a silicone grease to make it easy to get together. Yeah Right.
The wider thicker seal ring will definately help a bunch in that department.
But I guess as the old saying goes, you get what ya pay for. :bug:
