First time splitting wood today! Took me right back to Napa Valley!

the oak i split around here kind of stinks.. i like the smell of birch when you split it, that winter-green smell
 
Actually I did cut a TON of it several years ago at hunting camp. I thought it smelled pretty good (it was all dead standing and blowdowns, though)......

Lemony!!
Sass smell is unique and interesting....but nothing can even come close to how good aged White Oak smells. :)
