Flex Seal Tape - Anyone try it on a pool chair?

I got that new Flex Seal tape for the floating chair Wow it is sticky as heck! 100% water Proof.

Do u think it will hold up?

Phil swift says this tape is good!

I bet it gets through august if you keeps kids off.

The initial results are in!
After 2 hours in use in the pool, The flex tape held up very well where the fabric was completely ripped in half. I did cover both sides and overlap it onto itself because it sticks to itself better than anything else. There was another spot with a small tear so I just put a patch of it on the back side only. That started to peel off! See pics

Looks like a slightly different model.
 
I would have taped from the back leaving sticky side up. Then watched the fun. You're a much nicer person than I am.
 
Why not use a tire patch type thing with some silicone adhesive?
