Not sure if this should be in the boiler forum. I am interested in using a visible firebox with added components to heat my radiant floor. I am looking at an older xtrordinair, 44A-BI. This model does not have the typical sheet metal surround. It seems fairly straight forward to drill some holes and add a couple of coils with a sidearm to my WH and a solar tank as an exchanger for my radiant. Does any one have any experience with this? Any help would be appreciated.
