Fungus. Ignore or a problem?I

That one is always on beech. Especially when it's in the shade. It dries out and I burn them no problem.

Ever reach into a pile and grab a handful of that stuff? I don't recommend it ;sick.

It's called "Tree Ear", a type of eadible tree fungus. It is a delicacy in China.

It is dried out and rehydrated. You can find it in many Chinese dishes, such as Hot & Sour soup.
