A terrible somber night. We gathered around the stove tonight since it's cold outside. I thought about how many families live their lives in big houses where they spend most of their time in seperate rooms. With the bad news flooding in from Blacksburg it made me glad we have this stove room to gather together and made me wish more people did.

Yep, it sure does help to put things in perspective.
 
We had power go out last week at 11 pm for 16 hours. Just got out some candles, lanterns and set the fire for a overnight burn. Still had gas fired hot water. I did get out the Coleman stove for a hot lunch.
