getting the warmth to other rooms ?

I'd try finding a cheaper fan (I wouldn't spend close to $50). For your size home, one of these in the rear hallway pointing toward the living room (on low speed) should work. I use two of them in my 2000sqft downstairs (and one in the 1000sqft upstairs) and the do the trick + they are quiet. Cheers!
