Finally had the time to get the Advance-2 up and running.

Had a couple of cracked tiles and still needs an ignitor but no complaining
as I got it real cheap from a friend that went back to wood burning.
Hearthpad is a granite remnant.

What do ya think?

My install is a bit plain so decided to paint up the firebrick on the Advance
to give it a bit of character. Got the idea from macman and thank him for
giving me the paint color codes he used on his stove.

Was going to pickup a log kit to use in the off season but almost passed out
when I called for a price on them. Cannot justify that cost yet.

I dislike the logs on that unit. they make a great ash catcher, and everytime you open the door they end up on the floor. They remind me of antlers, and frequently break in the middle instantly turning your single piece log set into a matched pair. Nice job with the paint.

Looks great Tink.....and the paint work on the brick came out super! Really does dress-up the stove. And I really like the granite base!
Thanks for the pics.

Looks nice; I like your brickwork. I love my Advance. I know you will too. The Advance veiwing glass arrangement is the best I've seen IMO.

that's a nice looking stove tink, how cheap did you get it? :)

..

That looks great! Nice job on those bricks. Smart move not buying the logs. On the 3 stoves I sell that offer optional logs, they are HUGE ash catchers

thanks guys!

$1250.00 for the stove & vent pipes.
Replaced the tiles on top, ignitor, and switched the 3ft vertical pipe to a 5ft.
Stove has born date of 2006 but is in really good shape.

Did not really NEED this stove, but could not pass up his offer.

I was looking at the log kit for decorative purposes only with no plans to keep it
in the stove while running. But if they are that fragile I will not bother.

great price IMO, looks great...!!! are these models quiet?

..

Tink,

A 3 year old stove at that price was a steal! Nice install and fancy brick work too!

Looks great. Maybe one of those's gotzthehotz fabricated pieces to go in it.
