    Hi all..

I bought a 2nd hand stove online a few months back (it was still new in box) and now have it fitted.
The installer noticed it's missing a throat plate and i've spent days trying to find this stove and/or a throat plate to it it.

The box said Elegance on it, which the seller tells me was the manfuacturers name. But no idea on model. No markings or anythign inside or out.

Its a 9-12kw multi fuel stove, cast iron. 5" flue hole at rear and top. Cart wheel vents. Internals are all cast iron and there are two pegs eitherside about 3/4 of the way up which look like a plate would rest against.

I'd really appreciate it anyone knew more info on this stove or new a throat plate which would fit and do the job.

The main stove body (not including legs and decor edges etc) are:
    D: 42cm
    H: 52cm
    W: 59.5cm

    and the glass is 38cmx18cm

I've got a bit of steel bent over in there just now to act as a temp throat plate but would really love to have something more adequate in its place.

    Appreciate any help...

    Allan

Yep, the knobs look like the same style that was used on the Thermocet stoves. The only ones I have ever seen of that style. Although, I can't find squat about the stove in question.

It looks like an older multifuel stove. Elegance is probably the model name, not the manufacturer. I suppose the box is long gone now. Look around for other stampings or part names on the stove. Did you inspect the back?

I am guessing maybe an old Franco Belge? They use(d) the name Elegance in some of their lines of cast iron stoves.

    Hi,

Thanks for the comments, I'll contacts those manufacturers and see what they say.

I'm afraid there are no markings on it, or any stamps. Which is really annoying.
I can remember it being an Elegance ..... something... and i do remember once upon and time seeing it online but the manufacturer only made a few models.

I suspect a throat plate from another make of stove will fit in, so I'll measure it all up and try and few to see which fits it.

That will teach me to buy a 2nd hand stove!!!!!!

Anyway, until then theres plenty to do to tidy the area up. only just been installed and needs some paint touch ups.
