One 40lb bag in 24 hours = 1.66lb's of pellets per hour... Many factors will change this. My P61 on its lowest continuous setting, will burn about 1.3-1.4lb's per hour. That's with feed rate on 1, temp dial on 1.
So 1.4 lbs per hour produces how many BTUs/hr.

If the pellets are 8400 BTU's per lb... Than the hourly BTU output would be about 11,760.
 
6th bag in 4 weeks. Only running lowest setting overnight. Keeps it at 75 and this makes the wife happy. House I'm in now is well insulated so that heat stays trapped all day. When I refire at around 8pm, it's still 68 in here.
