Do they not have Citronella candles back east? Or have the mosquitos built up a resistance?

The mosquitoes up here in da UP (the UP state bird) laugh at your citronella candles as they sink right in for a drink. If I'm going to work in the woods, I spray on 100% deet. Nasty stuff, but the only thing that really seems to work. If they're bad by the house, we just stay in the screen porch.

Now, out east (MD, anyway) the mosquitoes I've seen are tiny little things, and citronella might even work on them.

The skeeters in ME drink citronella like we drink our coffee.....it helps get their day going.

Believe me, you don't want to see a ME skeeter coming down off a citronella high.....it aint pretty!
