How do you properly attach a quick connect to a liner that you want to splice. Is there anything specific that needs to be done? Should it be wrapped with insulation, sealed with gasket, etc...? Is putting a splice near the damper too close to the stove in terms of heat tolerance? I know bholler does not recommend this but I just wanted some thoughts.
