My wife and I purchased and moved into our home back in August of last year. In the living room what we thought was a wood stove from our showing was actually a gas stove. The panel underneath was laying in the floor underneath and wiring was disconnected. There was also a jumper wire laying up underneath. Pilot light has been on this entire time. Yesterday I returned home and she had made a comment about how cold the living room had been and with lower temps coming thought I’d see if I could get it going as she works in the same room. Upon pulling the panel back I noticed the red wires to the on/off switch (one was disconnected, the other had no connector and was bare wrapped around the connector. I had some male connections and hooked the wires back to the on/off switch per the manual schematics. Cleaned the stove up and followed the instructions and it fired right up. The stove ran for 10-15 minutes and then shut back off on its own.(pilot still on) I have not been able to get it going again since. I have used canned air and have cleaned the pilot assembly and air gap. When so try ton turn it back on it doesn’t seem to be getting any gas to the tubing inside to even light. Any help would be appreciated. Traditions by earth stove. Model tg300dv

Yes I have a multimeter. Never used it though.

Set your multimeter to vDC & with the pilot burning, touch the
probe ends to the screws on the left side of the valve. Top (TP-TH)
& Bottom (TH)...What reading - if any - are you getting

Sounds like a thermopile to me. Just replaced mine last week.

Reading is 0.

You need a new thermopile. You should be getting a reading
of about 55omV or so. It is the larger (3/8") diameter
sensor within the pilot flame. True Value has a universal unit
labelled as a "millivolt generator" that will probably work.
About $30...If you need help changing it out, let us know.
