I split too small? Please help

I use all sizes, fire pit or stove...it's all good...
 
You need a mix of sizes for sure. I have a big stove so I leave some pieces a bit larger for overnight burns, but most of mine I like to be able to pick up with one hand. If I need two it's for overnight (or the campfire pit), and if I only need two fingers it's kindling.
 
I split all different sizes. Large splits for all night burns and smaller ones for shoulder season and milder days.
