Good afternoon,

I just started my hearth pad at the cabin for my englander 13nc.

Because the cabin is small, I decided to go 5 feet deep and 4 feet wide. [Min requirements are 4 by 4.]

I have built a metal 2 x 4 frame with 10 inch stud spacing, a 1/2 inch of durorock, thin set (Is lacticrete multipurpose ok for this?), then I added another layer of durock. the first seam is left to right and the top seam is front to back.

Now I will wait for it to harden before I add tiles.

Is there any free software out there for help laying out tiles?

Kindly,
M
