Hi! I have a Kodiak 1700, and it works great when I have a fire lit... but it's been cold here in Wyoming this winter, and my Kodiak 1700 has a draft around the brick, and fire box when the door is shut, and not in use. Is this normal?

Strong wind, cold chimney, poorly located chimney and/or negative pressure in the room (usually in a basement install) are all possible causes for downdraft. Warm up that stove, it's cold outside! :)

And welcome to Hearth.com!
