Mantel Sheild for the Pacific D1

Just finished checking out Tom Oyen`s site again (chimneysweeponlilne) and noticed the PE Pacific is now offered with a mantel sheild ($55) as an option. I never noticed that anytime during the past 2 years. So, is this something new for the Pacific insert?

Good idea! It`s been offered with the Vista insert for quite some time.

Hi Sonny,

PE still doesn't offer a mantel shield for the D1 or Summit inserts: the D1 mantel shield we offer is a UL listed aftermarket unit that attaches to the underside of the mantel. It can be used with any insert.

Thanks for the info Tom. And cudo`s to you for offering it. Much easier to have the sheild than try to raise the mantel.

If I ever replace my old "beast",I`ll have to order one from you.
