Reading my newer version of my Ecoteck manual (still leaves much to be desired!) and found on note about installing an OAK ... "If using an Outside Air Kit (OAK), clearances can be reduced to 1' beside or below any window."

Is this the same for all pellet stoves using an OAK? Curious...

No, they have to be tested before they can say that.
 
Tested by manufacturer or install site? We have talked about a second stove and this would open up options on possible locations.

Manufacturer and it is model specific.

I think most all have reduced clearances to windows and doors when using an OAK.
