This weekend we will switch to cherry so we save the beech for that cold snap. How's the weather out in your area?

Maybe a break coming. We jumped about 15 degrees overnight. Not sure it's going to last but it was a nice surprise.

It is warming up here zap. Got above freezing yesterday and today. Looks like we will even see 40 degrees next week! Then back to reality no doubt. No snow in forecast yet and have not used the blade yet.

Yes, I just was checking the 10 day myself and we're looking at 50 here on Friday too, with rain mixed in around it. Good thing I shuttled all the wood from that stuck trailer down in the yard today with my JD chained mower and cart, over the wetsnow & soft ground. Of course with 50, I won't be burning much wood anyway!

I was supposed to get on the ice today, but ended up at a stove shop up your way instead. Then ended up doing some work on my basement. Where do you ice fish up that way?

jdp - I fish the Groveland, Georgetown, Hamilton/Wenham areas as there is not much fishing pressure and also in the town where I live. I just picked up a new gas auger as CL has overpriced older augers for too much coin. I've been looking for a few years now and I'm done with manual augers. The 7 day forecast is looking like mid 40's. <>

It looks like we will have a mess this week with the freeze line pushing north to Canada, after today it will be in the high 30's, by the weekend we could see the 40's.
