Cold front came through last night. A lot cooler this morning. Gonna keep the fire going all day, and watch some football. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1353769217.561191.jpg

It was 12° here at 5:30 this morning. Sure was nice to have a good bed of hot coals in the stove when I loaded it.

One softball sized chunk of mulberry with a few coals left in the box when I woke up at 630.Still 75 in here,68-70 in rest of house.19 degrees outside.Handful of small dead twigs, another 2 big handfuls of coarse shavings from milling the other day & it was blazing.

It was 25 here this morning, but 74 degrees in the house. Last load went on at 9pm lastnight and had a nice combo of Hedge and Mulberry. The coal bed got the next load started easily this morning. Love sitting in the chair sippin' coffee and watching the fire dance.

We very well may have reached that point in the year when all day fires will be necessary for the next few months. That's okay though. We have plenty of dry firewood.
