My new/old tool for splitting

So I finally got s new/old splitter/ I used to split by hand and use a small electric now and then but this will do the trick

How'd you come across it? Looks like it has seen some wood - hope it treats you well! Cheers!
 
Looks like a great older splitter kayakkeith, a neighbor of ours has one from sears that is old but starts up every spring on the second pull.

It splits wood, that's what counts.

Had some friends that hadn't used it in years and don't burn wood anymore
 
You'll soon fall in love with that splitter. I would be lost without mine, I'll tell you that. I still hand-split my fair share of wood over the course of a year, but we cut soo much wood between my buddy and I doing tree work on the side that I'd never be able to keep up by hand.
