The door gasket on my breckwell 24fs was very old and one of the door traps were letting a lot of air past it. I got this stove from a guy for free and this is my first winter using a pellet stove. I have burnt only AWF pellets
and after reading concluded my door would get all smoked up and dirty because of the pellets I was using. So I replaced the stove gasket and fix the ash trap door just because I finally had the time! So I have been running the stove for two days straight and glass is clean as a whistle, fire seems to be buring ok, however the stove might be putting out less heat, its hard to tell because it is very warm out for this time of year. the one thing I have
notice if I play with the damper and open and close it, it sounds almost like there is air sucking past the gasket. I tried the dollar bill trick with the new gasket on the door and its really not that hard to pull out and even if i push hard on the door myself it still pretty easy to pull out. so does this sound normal and if the gasket was leaking air past it shouldnt the glass get all crapped up or will it act like a air wash.
