New wood stove install (help the noob)

keep in mind that the "cheaper" stoves often require greater clearances to combustables than the better built ones. plan the entire installation before purchasing a stove. You can often find great stoves used for a decent price. The epa rated ones are typically the way to go. Another option is to take the zc box out and install an epa fireplace, (wood stove in a zc box) Kozy heat has a great one called the Z-42, Bis also makes some great quality units. Prob. looking at around $2500 plus chim for that option, but don't have to take space out of the living room or cut a new hole in the ceiling. Just some options.
