My Jamestown J2001T is an insert and is about 16 years old...bought it a couple years ago,it heats like a trooper but lately I noticed a problem with my auger feed...it won't feed pellets well and will jam after a bit on the lower settings like 1.5 to 2.0 settings?
On the higher settings like 3.0 to 6.0 it has no problem with feed rates.I'm wondering if my auger motor is getting tired,I've also noticed it making a squealing noise on start up lately....I looked for a tag on the motor but it's missing...anyone have a idea on a replacement motor?
Checked with Jamestown people they have a hefty price on a replacement auger motor.....looking for a cheaper option...any advice?

Thanks.

I recently called Jamestown with questions about my old one, made from before they moved to Canada; they suggested I call a Justin in Salt Lake City, Utah, where the old Jamestowns were made. I haven't needed to buy any parts yet, but he was most helpful and seemed to know the stoves well. PM me for his tel. no.

Do you have the specs on that motor kind of hard looking up something without the specs. Plenty of auger motors out there prices all over the lot.
