This has been an ongoing problem for me..the pellets jam and the stove stuts off..I have tried everything,,,there is creasote buid up inside under the slide plate where the pellets drop into the auger..I can feel it but can not get to it to clean it...should I buy a new stove??

I have a P68, a very similar stove. My brother has the P38+ and we both get ash under the slide plate, but in 5 years of using them neither of us have ever noticed any creosote under the slide plate. I think something is not working as it should. I would call the dealer you purchased the stove from.

Good luck.
