Hi, I'm new to forum, but a long time browser, i'm finally going to be getting my 1912 fireplace up and running.

I'm going to order a VISTA insert, i see a lot of you have one of these, My question is where Do I run the Electric line? I'm qualified to run it myself so i'm going to just run a brand new 12-2 line from my breaker box. It just doesn't say where to put the darn thing?Do i place it in the fireplace? on the hearth? Install instructions are very vague. Do i run an outlet box also or is it directly wired to the unit?

Just funny over a 15 page pdf they have maybe 1/8th a page dedicated to it.

    Really appreciate your guys help!

Have a vista and love it!

The blower cord comes out of the bottom left (when looking at the stove) side of the ash lip. It plugs into a regular outlet. It reaches a good 4-5 feet.

Right on! Enjoy the stove. Our setup cranks some good heat.
