The pellet hopper has about 30% of the pellets sitting on all side walls. Stove auger takes from directly above leaving a large portion of the remaining pell's. We have to go push the remaining pellets towards the center every 6-7 hours or the stove will go out (has yet to remain on after being at work for 8 + hours!). Seems like a design flaw where the inside lining of the hopper isn't sloped/ angled enough?!!? I have packed the hopper to max (45 Lbs per owners guide). Customer service rep to line inside w/ "aluminum tape"? Does this seem right?

PS - Timber Ridge is the same thing as a Englander.

New hoppers also can have small imperfections that can cause problems with pellets sliding. Anything that covers them will help. Also polishing the hopper can help.

Eventually those imperfections get filled or polished out by the pellets themselves.

Some people will polish the hopper with wax paper or provide a coating of pledge or pam, just do not spray the hopper while the stove is burning.
