Like the video idea...I just posted a pics of my wood for 2 yrs from now (Evolution of a wood stack).

The video thing is a nice walk through. I love the stacks. Looks much like mine do. Only yours are Much Taller! (I am a short Man).

    Great video.
Nice neat professional looking set up.
You are prepared. Sandy was an inconvenience to you, not much more.
    Great set up.
Knowing how much work is in all you just showed, you don't run from hard work you bull right into it ;). Great job!

With you & Dexter, I shouldn't post any more pictures of my meager stacks.
I know I can't even come close to that perfection & beauty.

Got to have some jealous neighbors ?

Thanks Dave. You stacks are great what are you talking about and that wood shed is sweet.

Everyone knows from personal experience, there definitely is a lot a work there.

I wanted to pat myself on the back a little if I can;em.
I blow myself away. To think that I never cut, split, stacked or even burned wood in my life (other then the campfire or romantic evening;))
I think I've not only "Bulled right into" but I Ran right through it!

I burned 5 cord last winter and processed the 17 cord you see. So in exactly one year I C/S/S 22 cord.
Not to bad for a newbie:)
PS. hence the rank of SWA

Yes ther are several big locust and maples.

I live on just under an acre. That woodsy area is actually the property of two houses behind me. My property ends where that tree fell and was cut to.
However that is unused land from the two houses because they are about 30' below that elevation. Their property slopes up to that elevation very rapidly, almost un-walkable, in fact I can't even see the houses. There is no fence that separates us. So it likes I have another 1/2-3/4 acre of property.
They are also both owned by the same guy who rents them out.

Last year Hurricane Irene blew down about 5 locust. so the landlord was up there with a tree company. I asked him if I could take the wood and all he had to do was drop the leaners and I would buck them. He was more then happy. ( I still haven't gotten to it yet) He also said I could cut anything I want because he is afraid of it blowing over and crashing onto his houses.
