Sure would be nice to have a sticky with pics of various types of wood just like your showing. Sure would make life easy. I like how you show the bark and the grain of a split.

Anybody got some pics of hickory? I just hit the motherload-got permission to "take as much as you want". Pretty sure it's hickory, just can't tell with all the leaves off. KD
