putting the legs on an NC-30?

I like the legs that came with my NC-30. Any suggestions for putting them on without damaging the stove or myself?
 
usually i will remove the brick and refractories and set them aside, then lay out somthing in front of the stove to protect the floor , gently roll the stove forward and block it up to steady it , unbolt the pedestal and install the legs then gently rock it back upright. then reinstall the brick and refractories
