We dont sell gas stoves. Im curious...do you folks who do sell them often have issues with customers blaming their ill-health onthe gas stove? And Im curious, but when stories like this get publish, or when folks vaporize their home with gas, do you tend to get a rash of panic calls?

Well, first of all, the stove was leaking. Means not working correctly. Second, she used her stove/oven for heating the apartment. Improper usage. 3rd, no carbon monoxide detector in apartment is just stoopid, with multiple oooooo's.

Irrespective of these items, I'm curious about the questions you pose as well.

There have been two homes that have exploded since last February here. Nothing really happened to the outfit that negligently blew up a cabin. No criminal charges were filed, the guy still operates like nothing happened. Then a couple months ago a homeowner doing some work damaged a propane line and fixed it. Later that night while his wife was cooking dinner the pocket of gas ignited leveling their home. The man lived but his wife was right at the epicenter of the explosion. Horrible tragedy. The scary part is that whenever I run into untagged gas lines (which is quite often and usually by a repeat offender) the home owner is usually not interested in getting it inspected. And when they are inspected the AHJ's charge double inspection fee and no further action is taken. You can hardly get anyone willing to report to the BBB. Sad state of affairs
