Id like to replace the top plate gasket on my castine this week but don't want to go without the stove for the few days it would take for the cement to set up. Can I just lay the new gasket in without the cement until spring?

Thats right...I know on mine the fire helps dry the glue!!!

Thanks.....I just assumed it would need extended downtime. Will pick up some rutland this week.
