    went to look at a lopi leyden this moning which has legs,and on friday i looked at a harman accentra (no legs).besides the fact that these are 2 different stoves,is there any difference as far as performance for any stove with legs or without?

    Nah, not with a pellet stove.....no difference at all. Pellets stoves have little, if any, downward heat or radiation. It is simply a matter of style.

    performance wise there shouldnt be any difference as the difference is cosmetic, however if you are installing in a mobile home , the leg version may not be usable im not aware of a leg model that is certified for mobile home installation. there may be one out there but i do not know who makes it.

    No performance difference but when I was looking for a stove
    many of them with legs had a smaller ash pan than the pedestal
    type. In the end I chose the pedestal style for the larger ash pan.
