My stove is a strong radiator out the front. As evidenced by the clearance requirements, and the warmth of the floor in front of the glass.

As I was reloading last night, I had an idea:. Why not reflect some of the radiation back into the room rather than just having it soak into the floor? So, I found a big cookie sheet and placed it right in front of the stove. I could immediately feel the difference from my seat.

Fantastic.

The radiant heat is bouncing off the cookie sheet.
