Replacing exhaust gasket

So I had to disconnect my stove to move it out of the the way to paint the living room last weekend,
to disconnect it from the stack I undid the 4 bolts the hold the pipe connector assembly. There was a white gasket underneath it that ripped. I do have a roll of cork gasket material that I used on automotive applications, can I replace this white gasket with one made from the cork?
 
Im new so not much help, but to get you started create a signature with your stove brand and model, so these guys can get some ya set up with the right details.
 
No, you wanna use the white Litherm material for a gasket due to the heat produced. I don't know that any manufacturer uses cork for anything on the stove.
 
Thanks, I stopped by the local Harman dealer and he had something that fit, I think I am going to by a Lytherm sheet online for 12 bucks just to have on hand.
