Rust on cast iron

What should I do about the small rust spots on my black cast iron face?

Wire brush the big stuff off, sand it with medium paper to bare iron, then spray paint with Rutland high temp paint.

I usually keep an eye on it during the summer months, if there are any rust spots i buff with some WD-40. Doesnt harm paint, but you have to stay on it and apply as needed.
