I approached a guy about some White Oak storm damage logs that I noticed a while back. He said "Sure, help yourself, and take a look around. There may be some other wood you can use." There sure was! Gotta be at least three cords here. I've got more wood here to split than I can shake a stick at! :gulp:
Here's the White Oak. Still have a couple more big rounds to get, which should fill out the front row a bit.

This is the back row of the White Oak pile, showing a few intact rounds from the trunk. After rolling a few of those onto the trailer, I decided to split the rest!

There were a couple of decent White Ash, one lying down and another standing dead. There's another one still over there that I have to check, lying down with little bark left, some of it suspended off the ground. Part, if not most of it should be good; Down Ash seems to hold up pretty well. There's a bit of miscellaneous Oak at the right end of the pile. Second pic is a different angle.

Couple of Pignut Hickory, one down and one standing with the top busted out. This stack of rounds is two rows deep.
