Heading there last minute for the weekend on wood related business. Not alot of planning due to last minute . Thought we wood check out some coal history stuff. Anything else we sholuld see while there? Historic sites ,landmarks,or good eateries? Coal fired pie wood be a plus. You know how I like East Coast pie.

You could check our "Dunder Mifflin Paper"...just kiddin.
Have a good trip

The railroad is nice. My wife ran the Marathon there that starts up in the hills and wanders through all the little towns into Scranton. It is beautiful country.

SteamTown gets my vote! Nice national historic railroad museum, trolley museum there also. Lots of steamers and a huge restored roundhouse and they even offer a short free train ride.

I'll second the coal mine tour from what friends of mine said about it.

Just find a local watering hole and settle in. If it gets boring, hand a mike to Lady Marmalade and the joint will go nuts.
